Since the newbie of Reliance Industry – Jio launched, we continuously heard about the reduction in tariff across multiple plans and witnessed many attractive offers. But Reliance Jio recently started to charge for the non-Jio calls and this leads to a new change.

Well, today the popular telecom operators Vodafone Idea and Airtel have announced that they are increasing tariffs. Having said that, both Airtel or Vodafone Idea didn’t reveal the details of the new tariff hike but we expect to know about the same in the coming weeks.

The new development is coming in the background of the tariff changes in the Jio network along with that both Airtel and Vodafone Idea both are facing huge loss and you guys can check out the statement of both the companies below.

In a statement, Airtel said: “The telecom sector is highly capital intensive with fast changing technology cycles that require continuing investments. It is, therefore, extremely important that the industry remains viable to support the vision of Digital India.”

Vodafone Idea said in a statement: “The acute financial stress in the telecom sector has been acknowledged by all stakeholders and a high level Committee of Secretaries (CoS) headed by the Cabinet Secretary is looking into providing appropriate relief.”
