The search engine giant Google has officially revealed the details of the upcoming WearOS 4 operating system for smartwatches and the same is announced during the Google I/O Conference 2023. The company has confirmed that the upcoming WearOS 4 will be coming with improvements in battery life over its predecessor and the same will be offering user data backup functionality. Google is expected to announce the new operating system with the Google Pixel Watch 2 and the same will be official later this year.
The latest WearOS 4 will be available to Pixel and Galaxy models and the company did not release hardware requirements for WearOS 4. The company will also make a critical improvement in the addition of the XML watch face format.
WearOS 4 also features an upgrade of the Home app and the same will allow compatible smartwatches to control playback and other functionality.
