Sending voice messages is really convenient as you can quickly share your message in your own voice but listening to voice messages might not be comfortable for everyone due to their own reasons. So WhatsApp is here with a solution as the company has introduced voice transcript feature.
This particular feature will allow the receiver of a voice message to read the message without playing the voice message. WhatsApp will transcribe the voice message in text format.
It is worth mentioning that the feature is currently supported with languages including English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian on Android, whereas on iOS 16, you will get some more languages such as French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Chinese, and Arabic and on iOS 17 and later, the list is even bigger as you will get Danish, Finnish, Hebrew, Malay, Norwegian, Dutch, Swedish, and Thai.
To enable the feature, you need to turn on the transcribe voice message feature in the chat settings of WhatsApp. So what are your thoughts about the new feature of WhatsApp?
