It seems that the Indian government is all set to follow the paths of other countries in the social media rules as today we got a new piece of information about a new demand of the very popular instant messaging application WhatsApp.
The very popular social media application WhatsApp has started asking some users in India to add their date of birth. The app says this is because of upcoming Indian government rules.
It is worth mentioning that countries like Australia have already set a minimum age for social media, and the UK has brought in stricter age checks.
So it seems that India is also following the same thing and if the role has been implemented in India then applications like Telegram, Signal, and more may also start asking users to verify their age.
