The new feature is spotted in the latest Whatsapp beta version 2.23.13.6 on the Google Play Store and the latest update is bringing enhancement to the media pickle. It will enable you to get a more streamlined experience for selecting and sending images, videos, and GIFs. The new update will offer numbered thumbnails and the same will make you understand the selected items.
Currently, WhatsApp is allowing you to select media to send, a simple checkmark would indicate the selection and it is difficult to remember the order but with the latest update, the instant messaging application will offer a number on each selected item, which will be showcased on the thumbnail and the number will mention the selection order.
This will help you to send the media in a sequence and the same will be handy in various situations. As I mentioned above, the feature is currently available in the beta version of the instant messaging application and we don’t have any clue on the availability of the feature in the stable version of the instant messaging application.
