WhatsApp Message Reaction May Support All Emojis, Money Heist Fans Will Receive a Special Sticker Pack

WhatsApp has found that it allows users to apply their favorite emojis as message responses.  The new development comes shortly after WhatsApp saw the addition of message responses to a platform that works similarly to how you can respond to messages received, even on Message, Twitter and Facebook’s own messenger app.  In particular, WhatsApp released a new sticker pack called Sticker Heist to celebrate the release of the fifth season of Netflix’s popular show Money Heist, the latest season of which was released on Friday.

As indicated by a screenshot shared by WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, responses to the message will appear just below the texts available in the app.  It is possible to add a message response feature for individual and group chats, and people in the conversation will be able to see who responded to a particular message.  This means that responses to a message on WhatsApp will not be anonymous.

WABetaInfo reports that users will be able to use any emoji they want. This sounds like how you can use any emoji to respond to a message on Facebook Messenger. However, unlike message responses, it is available on Twitter and Message where users do not have many options, and there are only a few preloaded emoji to respond.

Details about when message responses will be available as parts of WhatsApp have not yet been announced.  Looks like the screenshot was taken from a WhatsApp for iPhone build.  However, WABetaInfo says that WhatsApp is working to bring message responses to the Android beta as well as WhatsApp.

Previously known details suggested that users should make available the WhatsApp version of compatible devices to see the responses in their messages.  Users who do not have that version will be asked to update the app.

While the message response feature is not yet available, WhatsApp Sticker Heist has released its new animated sticker pack for all users.  The pack includes 17 stickers to celebrate the release of the fifth and final season of the Netflix show Money Heist.

Users will get the new sticker pack directly from the sticker store available on WhatsApp.  Alternatively, it can be downloaded from the in-depth link.
