To use the new capability of WhatsApp, you need to have the latest Move to iOS app installed on the Android phone to begin the transfer process. It is worth mentioning that the new feature is available on the beta version of the instant messaging application at this moment of time.
The feature will work on the devices which are running on Android 5 or above, whereas the iPhone should run on iOS 15.5 and above. Moreover, you must have WhatsApp for Android version 2.22.7.74 or above to enable the transfer process and the same phone number on the iPhone as their Android phone to move data.
It is worth mentioning that both Android and iPhone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network or the Android device needs to be connected to the hotspot connection of the iPhone to carry out the process. Having said that, you must connect the device with a power source as well to transfer the data.
That said, the iPhone which is needed to get the data of WhatsApp needs to be factory new or reset to factory settings as the process will start.
