Few hours ago, we updated that WhatsApp confirmed to bring back the old text based status. And we got reports, that the instant messaging app is officially rolling out the text status feature to Android users.
WhatsApp started to roll out text status to the stable version of the app on Android platform, the feature comes with the new name called About which is similar we have seen in the beta version.
This information is shared by our user, and according to him the update is visible in the v2.17.107. And it seems that the company is rolling out the new feature in limited way, the company may expand the availability in the coming days.
If you are on the latest version of stable WhatsApp version, then you have to go ‘Settings’ (by tapping the three dots) and tap on your ‘Name’. Now you will see ‘About and phone number’, and tap on the it to change or set new status.
