Testing new things are nothing new for the developers of the world’s most favourite instant messaging application, WhatsApp, and now we have a new piece of information that says the company is currently testing a new chat bar, which means the company is making a redesign.
It was previously reported that WhatsApp is testing a new design for the bottom navigation bar and now the company is reportedly working on a new look for the chat bar and this is happening for the Android platform.
The latest WhatsApp beta version for Android has the new chat bar that makes the conversation screen more modern. The upcoming update is said to be testing two different designs for the chat bar.
WhatsApp will be moving the text input to the top of the chat bar, right above the bottom that opens the emoji keyboard. The send button will no longer be a separate element outside the chat bar but it will be part of the chat bar. The company will be keeping the same circular style integrated into the layout. The instant messaging application will keep the emoji button on the right side of the bar while the left side of the bar will be similar to what users already know from the current layout.
The emoji along with attachment and camera buttons will appear on the left side of the bar and the right side has only the send button. It is worth mentioning that the developers of the instant messaging application have not announced the final designed for the public release and this might be changed at the time of the final release.
Having said that, the beta testers might not see the new design because it is currently under development for the latest update in the stable version and we believe that the instant messaging application you guys are recommended to stick with us for more updates at your fingertips.
