WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new design for the user interface for the Android platform and the latest version of the instant messaging application has suggested the details. So let’s get into the article to check out the new piece of information.
It is reported that the latest beta version 2.26.6.9 for Android is getting the new design change, now the Status section is being moved directly to the top of the Chats home screen and the same will be available right under the search bar (Ask Meta AI or Search), instead of staying inside the Updates tab.
The report has also suggested that the Status bubbles appear at the top of homepage of the instant messaging applications and now the Updates tab may focus more on Channels. It is also said that now the application will be offering a faster one-tap access to Status and a higher visibility which means more Status engagement.
WhatsApp is actually making a major UX change in the navigation strategy of the instant messaging application and could reduce reliance on the Updates tab and the same will be offering more Channel-focused.
