Scammers use WhatsApp to loot users by sending scam messages and take away money and make them fool. we know various information about the scammers. But still, people fall in their game. Now it is reported that the developers of the popular instant messaging application are currently working on a new feature dubbed the Scam Alert and the same will be offering a warning whenever the user receives a scam message. So let’s get into the article to check out the details.
According to WABetaInfo, the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android version 2.26.22.2 which is available on Google Play Store has the new feature. It is said that the new feature will be offering a warning whenever the user receives a message from someone they don’t know and the message appears to be a scam.
When the Scam Alert feature is enabled, the instant messaging application will review incoming messages from unknown senders, and it will be offering a warning directly inside the chat. It is worth mentioning that you can control over the conversation as you can decide whether to block and report the contact or continue the conversation.
It is expected that the feature will be working similar to the Voice Transcripts feature in WhatsApp, as it runs entirely on the user’s device, and the messages are not sent to external servers.
We need to wait for the availability of the feature in the stable version of the instant messaging application and you guys are recommended to stick with us for more updates at your fingertips.
