Testing new feature is nothing new for WhatsApp and now we got a new piece of information that says the developers are currently testing the new transalation feature for both messages and channels section of the instant messaging application.
It is said that the new feature will be supporting translation of multiple languages including Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Hindi, and Russian. The feature will be working on-device and there is no demand for an active internet connection.
Having said that, you need to download a language pack of your favourite language or the language that you want to be translated. The application will also enable you to download a language pack that can automatically detect the language of incoming messages and translate them.
The feature is currently available in the beta testing of the instant messaging application and this particular feature will be available in the chat info screen.
We don’t have any information about the availability of the translation feature in the stable version of WhatsApp at the moment of time. It is expected to be released very soon.
