WhatsApp is currently testing the new notification bubbles feature on the Android platform since Android 10. This particular feature is similar to the Facebook Messenger application on Android. If you are not aware about the feature, then you will find a floating bubble on the home screen when you receive a message from an individual or from a group chat.
The notification bubble displayed by WhatsApp will include the WhatsApp contact or group profile picture along with a small WhatsApp icon indicating it’s a WhatsApp notification. When you click on the floating bubble, it will open a compact version of WhatsApp chat interface that will enable you to read and reply to messages without opening the WhatsApp application.
