Before the acquisition of WhatsApp by the social networking giant Facebook, the instant messaging application did charge an annual fee from its users. However, in 2016 the company announced that there will be no charges for the service of WhatsApp. Well, now it seems that WhatsApp is going to raise revenue by showing advertisements on the platform.
According to the source, the world’s most favourite instant messaging WhatsApp will show advertisements in the Status section from next year onwards. Well, if this information turns out true then its clear that the Facebook wants to earn revenue and want to find the amount which it spend to buy the messenger.
