It is reported that the new WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.23.7.12 is having a new feature dubbed audio chats and the same will be available within the conversation.
The source has also shared a new image which is showcasing the feature, we can see that the application is getting a new waveforms icon and the same will be available at the chat header. It will enable users to initiate audio chats and there is a red button for ending ongoing calls.

It is believed that the new feature will enable users to see audio waveforms while switching between different conversations.
The feature is currently under the development stage and we need to wait for the availability of the same in the stable version.
