WhatsApp is raising an age limit according to European Data Privacy rules as minimum age limit to use Whatsapp is 16.
Europe has always been very serious while it comes to security. According to European Data Privacy rules, WhatsApp has stepped into the norms and made the legal age to use WhatsApp is 16. The rules change comes to users as a new data privacy rule will be on air from next month.
Users outside Europe will have the age limit as 13 while Europe’s GDPR has forced companies to delete personal data in the upcoming months on the social networks after the Facebook data breach came to light.
While Facebook has complied with new rules, that children should ask permission from parents to share contents on the network, If the parental permission is denied, then they may use the generic version of Facebook which is customized according to the data.
