Google Pay added a new UPI ( Unified Payment Interface) feature to ease out FASTag recharge. The search engine giant has announced that it have incorporated the FASTag account to the app that enables the users to use and track their payments using UPI.
Apart from using the app for recharging the FASTag account, Google Pay facilitates to check your account balance provided by the supported bank in just a simple click. Users can open their Google Pay account and find FASTag under the bill payments section.
If you are hearing about FASTag for the first time, It is a toll collection system managed by the National Highway Authority of India. It is an electronic radio frequency identification technology that collects toll directly from bank accounts or prepaid accounts.
Most of the new vehicles are equipped with FASTag RFID systems. If you cannot find it in your vehicles you can get it from other providers in the market. Reportedly, Indian Highway Management Company tweeted, you can easily buy the same from the toll plazas, certified Banks (23), RTO’s (Regional Transport Office) and transport offices.
