Xiaomi announced that it has partnered with Qualcomm to launch the “Xiaomi 12 Year Shopping Festival Selection Gift Box”. The special package includes a Xiaomi 12 and a bunch of other souvenirs.
This box includes the Xiaomi 12 mobile phone (of course), a special red case, and a shiny Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 memento. The box itself is much larger than the standard Xiaomi 12 box, and the word “2022” is written on it with nice and fun text. You will also find abstract art of some tigers here and there to mark the Chinese year of the tiger.
There is no change to the device unit you see inside, it looks like the gift box purchase the device will only get in its black color.
The “Xiaomi 12 Year Shopping Festival Selection Gift Box” will be available in limited quantities until January 30th. There is also a lottery on the Chinese e-commerce site JD.com, where you have the opportunity to participate for 1 yuan and win a prize box. Of course, the limited edition will only be sold in China and will probably not be available in the global market.
The device was launched on December 28th with the Xiaomi 12X and 12Pro. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and a 6.28-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with FHD + resolution. On the back, there is a primary camera setup with a 50MP IMX766 sensor. The 4500mAh battery supports 67W wired and 50W wireless charging.
