As the Xiaomi 12 Series launch event on December 28th is imminent,TCL has announced in a press release that it is the distributor of the standard Xiaomi 12 display.
TCL’s Huaxing Display Department is responsible for building AMOLED displays for the compact flagship Xiaomi 12, and TCL mentions that Xiaomi 12 displays use displays from its TCL Huaxing T4 production line. These TCL displays used in the Xiaomi 12 are said to have a 120Hz refresh rate, DC dimming and 12-bit color to give users a better multimedia viewing experience.
In terms of overall design, TCL notes that Xiaomi offers Xiaomi’s customized “premium-crafted” curved AMOLED displays for Xiaomi 12. The display is 6.28 inches diagonally with thin bezels on all sides.Punch hole selfie cutout in center of display.
According to TCL, the compact smartphone will have an industry-leading compact display as it has the highest screen-to-body ratio in the market. In terms of production schedule, TCL T4 AMOLED displays have to go through three stages of production (creation, assembly and finishing). It is also expected to produce the displays needed to meet the display demand of 8 million smartphones in the market.
This is not the first time a flagship from Xiaomi has not used the AMOLED supplied by Samsung. TCL was Xiaomi’s AMOLED display supplier before the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, which set a record in 2020.
