Xiaomi has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone series. It is called the Xiaomi 18 series and this year the company will be introducing the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max models while the vanilla variant will be launched later this year. It has been officially announced that the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max models will be launched in China on September 23. The company has also confirmed 5 important specifications of the devices.
The company has revealed that both devices will come with a 2nm flagship mobile platform made with a 2nm GAA process. It is said that the devices will come with improved performance and power efficiency with the help of the new processor, but it has not revealed its name yet.
However, we already know that the processor is the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The devices will also come with a Leica camera system with two 200MP sensors. One of them is the primary sensor, while the other will be a large-sensor periscope telephoto camera.
Having said that, the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station previously reported to come with a 17mm to 75mm focal range and a 3.2x periscope zoom. The company did not reveal anything about this.
The company has also confirmed that it is using a new-generation Super Pixel panel with its M11 light-emitting system and the devices will come with a new green light-emitting material. It is said that the latest technology can offer higher brightness while using less power. The company has also reduced the bezels to just 0.99mm with a new screen packaging process.
It is also confirmed that both devices will come with Xiaomi’s GSR VIII battery technology with 32% silicon content. The Xiaomi 18 Pro will have a 7,000mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will come with a massive 8,500mAh battery.
