The Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi has made their latest Mi 11 available for the global audience. Even though the smartphone is essentially the same as the one launched in China it will ship with a 55W GaN charger inside the box at no extra cost. In addition, the smartphone comes with an antibacterial screen protector and case pre-applied.
The smartphone also comes with a 2-year warranty unlike other smartphones and the company also promises one free screen repair within the first year. Here is a rundown of the specifications and features of the Mi 11 in case you need a refresher.
Specifications of Xiaomi MI 11
It features a Samsung made 6.81-inch QHD+ quad-curved OLED display with 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution and the device also supports a 120Hz refresh rate as well as a never before seen 480Hz touch sampling rate. Moreover, the device also has a punch hole set up at the top -left of the display and it can offer up to 1500 nits of peak brightness. the display offers 515ppi density and supports E4 Luminescence. In addition, it is rated HDR10+ and graded A+ by DisplayMate. The display is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the lastest 5nm based Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and it will be paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage with UFS 3.1.
Moving to the photography department, the latest Mi 11 rocks a triple rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 108-megapixel primary sensor with a 7-element lens, 1/1.33-inch sensor, f/1.85 aperture, 1.6μm pixel size, and OIS support. It is followed by a 13-megapixel super wide-angle lens with a 123-degree field of view and f/2.4 aperture, and lastly, it houses a 5-megapixel 50mm telephoto macro camera. The smartphone also supports a single 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The camera comes with a plethora of extra software features like Super Night Scene video mod, 8K video recording, Video LOG mode, support for HEIF format, Cinematic Lens, the MIUI filters and more.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports dual-mode 5G, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1with Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo Plus, IR blaster, NFC, and USB Type-C. It features stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon and a fingerprint scanner under the display to unlock the smartphone, authorize payments and is capable of even measuring the heart-rate which is a first.
The latest Mi 11 runs MIUI 12 based on Android 11 and packs a 4,600 mAh battery with 55W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging, and the smartphone also supports 10W reverse wireless charging. Besides it supports charging standards from Quick Charge 4+, Quick Charge 3+ to Power Delivery 3.0. The device weighs in at 196 grams.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi 11 will be sold for a price of €749 for the 8+128GB variant and if you want to buy the 8+256GB version you will have to spend €799. It will be available in Cloud White, Midnight Gray and Horizon Blue colours.
The phone will be sold via various carriers across the European continent and will be available via partner stores like AliExpress. The Chairman Lei Jun also teased a Mi 11 Lei Jun Edition which is expected to launch sometime later in limited quantity.
