Along with the two new affordable smartphones, Xiaomi has announced its new MIUI 9 Global ROM. The new MIUI 9, is the company’s new Android-based operating system and it was unveiled with the Mi 5X. And it is coming with improvements and new features, then the previous MIUI 8. So, let’s find out the new features of the OS along with the compatible devices.
According to the company, the all-new MIUI 9 is lightning fast just like stock Android. And the new MIUI 9 includes lots of features with an improved performance with fast app launches and a new look of the user interface when we compare to the MIUI 8. It also has new design elements, lock screen shortcuts, split screen feature.
MIUI 9 also coming with lot of Indian customizations such as IRCTC cards in SMS, support for the Indian Panchang calendar, festival cards, Horoscope, News, Sports, Health and Fitness, and ‘On this Day’ information. With the updated OS, the gallery app now features 12 sticker sets, but four of them are exclusively designed for India. Moreover, there’s a new App Vault feature which makes it easy to access to apps with one swipe.

MIUI 9 stable ROM will roll out to Redmi Note 4, Mi Max 2, and Mi MIX 2 by tomorrow i.e. November 3, and the other supported devices will get the update within a month.
