Since last week, the Chinese brand Xiaomi teasing a new smartphone and it is promoted as “Desh Ka Smartphone” and as the company promised to launch the smartphone today i.e. November 30. And the newly launched device is called Xiaomi Redmi 5A, it is the successor of Redmi 4A. So, look into the specs sheet of the device.
The new Xiaomi Redmi 5A sports a 5 inch display with Reading Mode, and having 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by 1.4 quad core Snapdragon 425 processor, and the device has two variants. It has 2 GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage, 3 GB RAM with 32 GB internal storage, along with Adreno 308 GPU. The device also allows you to expand the storage upto 128 GB via microSD card.
Speaking about the camera, it has 13 megapixel rear camera with with 5P lens, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and LED flash. And it also has a 5 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device also has IR Blaster at the top of the device, which allows you use the device as a remote control to your TV, A.C. and some other home appliances.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports dual SIM with 4G connectivity. It runs on Android Nougat v7.1 which is based on EMUI9, and the main highlight of the device is its battery. As the device is backed on 3000 mAh battery, and the company says the device can offer up to 8 days of standby time, 7 hours of video playback and 6 hours of gaming.
Talking about the colour choices, the device will be available in Dark Grey, Gold and Rose Gold.
Pricing and availability of the device:
- The 2 GB ram variant of the device is priced at ₹,5999 (₹4,999 for first 5 Million customers).
- The 3 GB RAM variant is priced at ₹6,999.
- The device will be available from December 7 at 12 pm across Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores.
- It will also available through offline retailers and Mi Preferred Partners later on.
