Xiaomi Teases Android 11 Beta for Mi 10

Along with Google who has rolled out Android 11 Beta for Pixel devices, many OEMs are wasting no time in teasing Android 11 for their models. One among them is Xiaomi who has teased Android 11 Beta update for the Mi 10 in India.

Xiaomi head, Manu Kumar Jain tweeted that they are preparing to roll out Android 11 Beta for Mi 10.  He added that interest users should follow @XiaomiIndia and @MIUI_India twitter handles for more news. At present, there is no information regarding the roll-out date or how to participate in it. But rest assured, the Android 11 Beta for Xiaomi Mi 10 and its details would be announced very soon. Do note that the Android 11 Beta might have bugs that make it difficult for a normal user to use the device as a daily driver.

Last year Google made sure more devices other than pixels received Android Beta. The Beta version rollout starts with Pixel and this follows other devices. In 2019, Other manufacturers like OnePlus, Oppo and Xiaomi also joined Google in releasing Android 10 Beta for their flagships. Some of the devices from Xiaomi that received Android 10 Beta include Mi 9, Redmi K20 Pro and Mi Mix 3G. Some of the other companies that teased Android 11 Beta for their devices include Oppo and Realme.

The Android 11 brings a couple of new features baked into the OS. They are Chat bubbles that work similarly to the FB Messenger chat bubbles allowing users to chat when interacting with other apps using the bubbles. It also offers improved media controls. Google is also ensuring increased privacy of users by providing granular control to the permissions allowed. Like iOS, in Android 11 users will be available to provide one-time permissions to the app. In this way, we can control the access of camera, microphone or any other data that you might want to protect from any apps.
