As promised earlier, today the Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has unveiled its latest television at an event in China. The company has unveiled the Mi TV 5 as well as Mi TV 5 Pro, both the devices are coming with 4K displays and in various display sizes – 55 inch, 65 inch, and 75 inch. So, without wasting any time let’s check out the complete details of both the new Mi televisions.
Both the televisions sport an aluminium body and have a screw-less design. The company says that both TVs are just 5.9mm thick and the bezels are 47.1 percent thinner than the predecessor i.e. Mi TV 4 series.
The Mi TV 5 Pro features a 4K with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels resolution and has an OLED Quantum Dot screen and offers up to 108 percent NTSC colour gamut, along with HDR10+ support as well as MEMC technology. On the other hand, the Mi TV 5 sports 4K with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels resolution screen, and offers up to 85 percent NTSC colour gamut.
Both of them are powered by Amlogic T972 SoC, and the Mi TV 5 paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the Mi TV 5 Pro comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
Both the televisions runs on the PatchWall user interface, and the televisions support 8K video playback. In terms of connectivity, both the TVs support Wi-Fi 802.11ac, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, AV inputs, Bluetooth 4.2, 4 microphones, two 8W four-unit speakers. Furthermore, the television’s features come the Xiaomi’s voice assistant.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the Mi TV 5 Pro has a price tag of CNY 3,699 for the 55-inch model, whereas the 65-inch model will cost CNY 4,999, and the 75-inch model has been priced at CNY 9,999. While the Mi TV 5 will retail at CNY 2,999 for the 55-inch model, the 65-inch variant will available at CNY 3,999l, and the 75-inch version is priced at CNY 7,999. The televisions will available in the market of China from November 11 and there is no information about the availability of devices in other parts of the world.
