After launching the Nothing Ear 1 truly wireless earphones, the UK based electronics brand Nothing is gearing up to launch its first ever smartphone called the Nothing Phone 1 and the company will be launching the device globally on July 12. The company has created a huge hype weeks before the official launching of the Smartphone and the hype machine is working really well. Now the company which is backed by the co-founder of the OnePlus Carl Pie has selected yet another coolest strategy to create the hype and also to get some extra money before the official launching of the smartphone in the market. The company will be auctioning the smartphone before the official launch and the first 100 bidders can able to get the device. Nothing has joined its hand with the StockX for the auction of the upcoming Nothing Phone 1 and the same will happen between 0900 ET on June 21 and 0900 ET on June 23.
Only the registered users of the StockX can participate the auction by simply login and users can able to place their bid on the StockX product page. It is also said that the top 100 bids will get a unit each of the Nothing Phone 1 and only the successful bidder will be charged. It is worth mentioning that the successful bidders will get the device within 5 weeks.
The upcoming device will feature fancy notification lights on the back panel as well and it is also revealed that the company will be manufacturing the device locally in India. The smartphone will be available in India via Flipkart.
Based on the previous reports, the upcoming Nothing Phone 1 smartphone will feature a 6.55-inch display along with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. It is also reported that the smartphone will have “No chin” which indicates super-slim bottom bezels across the display. It is also believed that the device will support a 90Hz or a 120Hz refresh rate.
The upcoming Nothing Phone 1 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile processor along with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage.
Nothing previously confirmed that the device will run the Nothing OS based on Android 12 out of the box and the device will receive 3 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates. It is also reported that the device will support 45W fast charging support. The device will also feature a transparent back panel.
