The Mountain View company Google has made a new update on the world’s most favourite email client which is Gmail and it is announced that users can finally change Gmail address. So let’s get into the article to check out the new details.
Google has officially announced the ability of changing your Gmail address and it is the part before @gmail.com. The new capability is currently available in the United States only but we believe that Google will be bringing this capability to other countries very soon. Google has also released a video to show the steps and you can check it out below.
You need to visit your Google Account settings, and simply tap Personal info, then Email, now Google Account email. Then you should see a big blue button saying “Change Google Account email.” Just tap on it and get your new email.
It is worth mentioning that the original email address that you have replaced will remain on your account as an alternative. So if anyone emails you at that email address will also be available for you. Having said that, you can only change your email address once every 12 months.
