YouTube the world’s most favourite video viewing and uploading website, always bother about the young generation of the world. The Google has also launched YouTube kids, which is specially designed for kids, and they always monitor on every video which is targeting to the little ones. Early in this year, Google pulled advertisements from its platform which were discovered that has hate speech or other offensive material and those videos was also targeted to kids.
And now the company has come in the similar situation, as they removed ads from 2 million videos which are targeted to the young generation. And the list of removed advertisers includes some big guns such as Adidas, Mars, and Hewlett-Packard.
The company is also facing another big problem, as the autofill feature creates huge issues; for example, if you type ‘how to’ then you can find lots of inappropriate terms popping up which is also harmful to the little ones. So, Google also needs to work out in this area as well.
Moreover, YouTube says that it also in the process of implementing and new content filtering policy. When a video will be flagged as inappropriate, then it will be restricted to the YouTube app. So, in this way, we can hope that kids cannot able to access the inappropriate materials.
