Micromax graph has been down for years and now the company has managed to fight back with its subsidiary Yu and announced a new budget smartphone to stand straight with market leaders. Will it stand alone?
Yu has some pretty good value for money smartphone during 2015. But later the colonization of Xiaomi in India, No company has managed to live in the market. Now Yu has managed to test its luck in 2019 with a brand new budget smartphone and this is the first smartphone from Yu without starting the name with “Y” like Yuphoria, Yunique, Yureka and lot more. The Yu Ace is not a flagship or even a Budget midrange. The Ace is intended to fight again Xiaomi’s entry-level smartphones, this is proven with the Yu’s Tagline “Forget M i.”
Yu Ace specifications:
Yu Ace sports a 5.45-inch HD+ display with 18:9 Aspect ratio. The device is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6739 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage which can be expandable with a microSD card. The battery backup is 4000mAh battery and it is removable!
The optics are a 13-megapixel rear shooter and a 5-megapixel front shooter for good and decent selfies. The device also has a fingerprint sensor imprinted on the back. The device also support Face unlock feature for Device unlocking purpose. The smartphone runs on Android Oreo and announced that Android P will be arriving in this device. The Design of Yu Ace looks super glossy and looks cool.
Pricing:
The Yu Ace is a budget or entry-level device and its price tag is also minimum. The Yu Ace will available exclusively on Flipkart from September 6 at 12 PM and the cost of entry variant of this device is Rs 5,999 which is highly competitive. Yu also shared that the 3GB/32GB variant will also be arriving soon.
The Yu Ace is a complete package for a budget segment. The device is capable of performing what is meant to. But the question is will it stand straight with Xiaomi? The only competitor is Xiaomi Redmi 5A which is entry level king of Xiaomi. In my opinion, Micromax has a trump card (ACE) to be active in the market with the help of Yu tale ventures. Will it survive? only practical usability will decide that thing.
