After teasing and being on the headlines of the internet in the form of leaks and rumours, ZTE has officially launched its latest and greatest ZTE Axon 40 series in the market of China and the smartphone series includes two models namely ZTE Axon 40 Ultra and ZTE Axon 40 Pro. In this article, we will talk about the Pro variant of the smartphone series.
Specifications of ZTE Axon 40 Pro
It is featuring a 6.67-inch flexible curved AMOLED display along with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and 10-bit color depth. The device is also featuring a punch-hole set up at the centre position of the screen. It is also featuring up to a 144Hz refresh rate along with a 360Hz touch sampling rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness level. The device is also covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
The ZTE Axon 40 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 mobile processor along with up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage. It is also featuring graphene-based cooling which means the device will offer a nice thermal management setup for you. The device is running on the latest MyOS 12 based on Android 12.
Speaking about the camera department, the latest ZTE Axon 40 Pro features a quad-camera setup on its back and that is in the combination of a 108MP primary sensor with 1/1.52-inch in size along with an 8MP 120° ultra-wide-angle unit, a 2MP 4cm macro snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the device is featuring a 16MP front facing camera.
ZTE Axon 40 Pro is housing a massive 5,000mAh battery and the device is supporting 66W fast charging solution. The device is also featuring an in-display fingerprint scanner for an additional layer of security.
Regarding the connectivity options, the device supports 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, NFC, and USB Type-C. The device is also featuring dual stereo speakers with support for DTS:X Ultra and the same also features an x-axis linear vibration motor.
Pricing and availability
The 8GB + 128GB storage option is coming with a price tag of ¥2,998 while the 12GB + 256GB variant costs ¥3,298 and 12GB + 512GB model is priced at ¥3,798. The device will be available in the market of China from May 25.
