Due to demonetization in India, Government is encouraging people to use cashless payment methods like using Paytm or debit or credit cards and become a part of cashless India. Now after 50 days, Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi launched Indian Government’s official online wallet app ‘BHIM’.
BHIM (Bharat Interface For Money) is developed by NPCI (National Payment Corporation of India) and incorporated with UPI (Unified Payment Interface) and other bank accounts that are available in India. This app can perform following features:
- Check Balance
- Custom Payment Address
- Easy Transfer in one click
- Offline Transfer via USSD
- Custom Payment Address
- Payment via QR Code
You can use this app by registering your bank account with BHIM, then you can start using this app. Your mobile no. will be your default payment address but you can later customize it by setting a UPI PIN. The maximum transaction limit is ₹10,000 per transaction and ₹24,000 per day. Right now this app supports English and Hindi language.
This app is only available for Android right now. No info about availability of IOS and Windows app. This app is available right now in the Play Store (here) and the size is only 2 MB.
