In January end, Google announced an incremental Android update, 7.1.2 . Pixel devices and some Nexus devices are already on the 1st Beta of this update from February. Now today Google has started rolling out 2nd Beta update of android 7.1.2 . So what are the changes and the eligible models, let’s find out.
This is not a major update, just an incremental update for stability and bug fixes. It is available for Pixel & Pixel XL, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Pixel C and Nexus Player. The update size is 1.3GB . If your phone is on the Beta version of the eligible devices, the update will arrive via OTA. And if your phone is on stable built, just sign-up for the Android Beta Program here.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. The stable OTA for Android 7.1.2 should rollout in a month or two if there will be no bugs. So if you want stability, then wait for official OTA, but if you want to be on latest OS then update with this Beta built. Stay tuned with us for more information.
