Mi Max 2 Officially Launched In India With 6.44 Inch Display & More

We all know that Xiaomi launches a new phone in India with the time gape of 2 months. Back in May, they launched Redmi 4 smartphone in India which is a big hit. So it’s July now & time for another Xiaomi phone. Few days back Xiaomi teased a new device launch, and today they did it. Xiaomi has launched the Mi Max 2 smartphone in India. Last year’s Mi Max was also a big hit in India, only phone in midrange segment having screen size of above 6 inch. Now let’s have a look at what this Mi Max 2 packs in..

As you can see from the image above, the built looks very similar to the previous Mi Max, but if you notice there’s no black bezels around the display to show it more bezel-less. Otherwise the looks are very similar to the typical Xiaomi phones. This Mi Max 2 sports a 6.44” Full HD Display with 342 pixels per inch (PPI). It comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa core processor that’s clocked at 2.2Ghz built on 14nm process with Adreno 506 GPU. Xiaomi is doing the same thing with Mi Max 2 which they did with Redmi Note 4, downgrading from Snapdragon 65x to Snapdragon 625. Also we expected that it will come with Snapdragon 626, 630 or 660.

This phone comes in 2 different variants ; 64GB & 128GB. Both variants comes with 4GB of RAM. Also both variants don’t have Micro SD card slot. Talking about the camera it has 12MP Sony IMX386 Rear Camera with PDAF & 1.25 micron pixels for better low light photos. On the front it has 5MP Camera with wide angle lens. It packs a mammoth 5300mah battery without compromising on the thickness. There’s support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 as well. It runs on Android 7.1.1 nougat with Xiaomi’s MIUI on top. It also has Dual Stereo Speakers on the front, fingerprint sensor on the back, and IR blaster on the back.

This phone is launched in new Matte Black colour. In China this phone was launched only with Gold colour option. Also the Chinese model has two storage variant; 64GB & 128GB. Both has 4GB of RAM. But in India they launched only 64GB variant. Below are the details of pricing & availability of the phone, along with launch offers:

• Mi Max 2 is priced at INR 16,999/-

• 1st sale will be held on 20th July 10:00 AM at Mi.com
• It will be available from all major online & offline stores from 27th July.

• Free 100GB 4G data from Jio.
