In the smartphone industry when it comes to the budget to mid-range category, many people’s 1st choice would be the Moto G series. Earlier when Google acquired Motorola, Google launched the Moto G as a debut phone and made a huge comeback. Moto G started the trend of value for money midrange smartphone in the industry. Even the last year’s Moto G4 Plus became the best camera phone in it’s price category. Moto G4 Plus was also listed on our Top 5 Budget Smartphones Of 2016. Now it’s time for the successor of this line-up means time for Moto G5 Plus. And we got some leaks of the same. Moto G5 Plus is listed on OLX’s Romanian website with some live images and specs. Let’s have a look at them.
This Moto G5 Plus has a 5.5” Full HD 1080p display and powered by the Qualcomm’s power efficient Snapdragon 625 processor that’s built on 14nm manufacturing process, so it will be interesting to see the battery life of the phone. As we are talking about the battery life, this phone may have 3080mah battery with fast charging support. In the storage department this phone has 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, probably will support expandable storage. Regarding camera it has 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, this seems to be downgrade from the last years Moto G4 Plus’s 16MP camera. We currently don’t have any information about the laser autofocus on this phone. Coming to the software side, this phone will come with near stock Android 7.0 nougat out of the box. The fingerprint sensor is said to be located at the front same as the predecessor. This phone will have Dual SIM with 4G LTE support, no information about VoLTE support but it’s assumed that it will have the same.
Moto G series launches at every 10 months gape. So it’s expected that Moto G5 Plus will launch in March 2017. Probably this phone will be showcased at MWC 2017 in late February.
