The users of Moto X Play can now smile, as finally Motorola started to push the latest version of Android via OTA update to the device. The device was launched two years back with Android Lollipop v5.1.1, but the company delayed the Nougat update and many users (personally me) was desperate to get the update.
This is not the promised update, as the company said it will give Android Nougat v7.0. But now the company pushed v7.1.1 which better and cool than the v7.0. However, this is indicating something more, as you gets the latest update it could be the last Android update. You don’t expect to the Android Nougat v7.1.2 or the Android O update.
With the Nougat update, you will tons of awesome features like bundled notifications, multi-window, app shortcuts, improved Doze mode, quick reply and much more, read here to know all Nougat features. Moreover, with this update you will also get the Google’s security patch of 1st May, 2017. And the update will also automatically install the Google Duo video calling app.on your device.
As I mentioned above, the update will be roll out via over-the-air (OTA) and it will take few days to hit on all the devices out there. If you receive notification about the update, then just tap on Yes, I’m in > Install now. You can also check for the update manually by heading to Settings > About Phone > System Update.
Things to be noted:

- Your device should have atleast 50% of battery in your device.
- Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network to update the device.
- After updating the device, you can’t go back to the previous version of Android.
