In the latest bid, the developers of the messaging application execute an amazing feature called Pin Chat feature.
As usual the messaging application bought the new feature into the beta version of the app, you can able to access the new amazing feature in the beta version 2.17.162. The developers may roll out the small but handy feature into the stable version soon, but right now there is no information is available about it.
What is Pin Chat feature?
Now you may be thinking what is the Pin Chat feature is all about isn’t? With this feature you can able to stick your favourite conversation at the top of the home screen. WhatsApp conversation list can get crowded with groups, plenty of family and friends and individual chats, with this the important chat which you look many times during the day will not be in front of your eyes because of the recent messages. And at that situation you have to scroll down, to find that conversation which you needed to check. off course you can add that particular chat as a shortcut to your home screen, but why you will do it when you get this amazing feature.
With the latest update you can solve this problem by pinning that conversation at the top of your screen. You just have to tap and hold on any chat which you want to stick at the top of the screen, once you tap and hold that particular chat, you will able to see a new Pin icon in the top bar next to delete, mute and archive buttons. Once you tap the Pin icon, that particular conversation will stick at the top of the screen. Which means recently received messages will stay below the pinned chat, cool isn’t?
The app allows you to pin 3 chats at the top, if you try to pin more than 3 chats then it will show ‘You can only pin up to 3 chats’. And if you have changed your mind and want to remove or add someone new, then you can unpin anytime, by tapping and holding that particular chat and tap the unpin button in the top bar.
WhatsApp Web also supports the new feature, you can pin or unpin your chats from your web client. To use this feature on the WhatsApp Web, click the little arrow and the option will be in front of you.
