Asus as already confirmed to launch its new upcoming gaming flagship series called the Asus ROG Phone 8 series and the same is confirmed to be announced in the market of China in second week of January 2024. The company has officially confirmed that upcoming Asus ROG Phone 8 series to feature gimbal stabilization for smoother videos. Well, that means the upcoming devices will be offering to the stable videography experience.
It is expected that the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 8 series will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution along with a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2500 nits. The revisors will come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile processor along with a massive 5,500mAh battery with 65W charging capability, as per 3C certification. The report also says that the devices will support an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 5-magnet speaker.
Regarding the connectivity options, the latest Asus ROG Phone 8 series will be supporting Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. The phones will run on Android 14 with the ROG UI out of the box. Speaking about the protection, both devices will be coming with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and an IP68 rating.
The vanilla variant is said to come with 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, while the ROG Phone 8 Pro is reported to feature 16 GB or 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Pro variant is reported to feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera while the back panel will come with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
