Asus is gearing up to launch the new ASUS ROG Phone 8 series and the company will be announcing the new offering on January 8 and it will be introduced in the market of China on January 16. We already have a good piece of inflammation about the upcoming devices through leaks. Now it seems that the devices will be official globally very soon as the Pro variant gets an important certificate.
The upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro receives the NBTC certification which means the device will be official in the market of Thailand soon after its official announcement.
Unfortunately, the listing is not offering any information about the specifications of the device. Based on the previous reports, the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 8 series will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution along with a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2500 nits. The revisors will come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile processor along with a massive 5,500mAh battery with 65W charging capability, as per 3C certification. The report also says that the devices will support an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 5-magnet speaker.
Regarding the connectivity options, the latest Asus ROG Phone 8 series will be supporting Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. The phones will run on Android 14 with the ROG UI out of the box. Speaking about the protection, both devices will be coming with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and an IP68 rating.
The vanilla variant is said to come with 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, while the ROG Phone 8 Pro is reported to feature 16 GB or 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Pro variant is reported to feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera while the back panel will come with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
