Early in this year, the Chinese brand Vivo unveiled a new smartphone called Vivo Apex and it changed the concept of a smartphone. As the device came with a really amazing setup and powerful features, the company also adopted new technologies which many leading smartphone brands did not able to adopt yet. Vivo then launched it as Vivo Nex in the month of June and it also launched in the Indian market. Well, now the company has announced a new smartphone which is called Vivo Nex Dual Display, and with this device, Vivo once again implemented in the smartphone industry. As the new device is coming with dual displays, three cameras and much more. Specification of Vivo NEX Dual Display:
As the name suggests, the device has two displays – one on the front and the other one is at the back side. The primary display of the device has 6.39 inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with the 2340 X 1080 pixels resolution and the secondary display has 5.49 inch Full HD AMOLED display with 1920 X 1080 pixels resolution. The device has 91.63% screen-to-body ratio and it has a bezel-less design and the device doesn’t have the notch on the top of the display. Under the hood, the device is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 845 processor and paired with the 10 GB of RAM along with the Adreno 630 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device has 128 GB internal storage.
Moving to the photography department, it is the most interesting area of the smartphone as it does not have any camera sensors at the front side but the device comes with 3 cameras. Well, the device doesn’t have a pop-up camera just like the previous one of the Nex series, as the new Vivo Nex Dual Display does not have any pop-up camera and it doesn’t mean that you will not able to do video calls and take selfies with this device. The device will allow you to take selfies and do video calls with your near and dear ones, but how? I will explain to you, read on.
As I mentioned above that the device has triple camera setup and you can use those cameras for video calls and selfies, as the device has two displays, the secondary display will allow you to do such kind of activities. Well, that means you can use the rear cameras of the device as the front. The triple camera setup is a combination of one 12 megapixel camera (f/1.79 aperture, OIS) + 2 megapixel (f/1.8 aperture) + TOF (f/1.3 aperture) with LED flash. The device also comes with the latest technology of security, as it comes with the in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock to give the maximum layer of protection to the users of the device.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports dual SIM, along with 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The device or runs on Funtouch OS 4.5 which is based on Android 9.0 and it ships on 3,500 mAh battery to keep the lights on.
Pricing and availability of Vivo NEX Dual Display:
It is priced at ¥4998 (approx. ₹52,214), and the device will be available in China from December 29. There is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
