The MWC 2019 event is few days away and we are at the final stage of smartphones launching in the event. Many OEMs are going to unveil their latest smartphone, which include flagships also. Sony is going to be one of them with Xperia XZ4. We got few leaks of this device and along with Xperia XZ4 there are two more devices in the pipeline, Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus. We got leaks of both these devices as well. Now today we got rendered image of all three smartphone, and considering that it’s the final stage of leaks, these renders should be true. But their names are different. So lets have a look at them..
-
Xperia 10 & Xperia 10 Plus:
Both these smartphones are assumed to come in midrange segment. Starting with the front (Xperia 10 at left, 10 Plus at right), surely the Xperia 10 Plus is taller than the other. Both have thin side and bottom bezels but a very thick top bezel housing front camera, earpiece, and sensors. Looks like both these smartphones will have strangely tall 21:9 aspect ratio. We don’t know what will be the experience of gaming, typing, and watching multimedia content on these devices.

On the right there is power button, fingerprint sensor, and volume rocker. SIM tray is located at the left. At the top a cutout for 3.5mm headphone jack can be seen. Coming to the back, there is dual camera setup in horizontal manner along with dual tone LED flash. Below the camera setup we can see NFC logo, Sony branding, and Xperia branding at the bottom. The back looks like to have a non-reflective polycarbonate type material. We saw exactly same design on Xperia XA3, which was leaked few days back. So maybe in some markets we will see Xperia 10/10Plus and in some, Xperia XA3.

Xperia 1:
Now coming to second leak, this is about their flagship smartphone, Xperia 1. This one also has 21:9 aspect ratio with thin side and bottom bezels, and the top bezel is very thick. On the right there is volume rocker, fingerprint sensor, power button, and camera button. I feel that the power button is on a lower side, hope that Sony will implement gestures like double tap on screen or fingerprint sensor to turn off the screen. On the left there is only SIM tray. Also this phone don’t have 3.5mm headphone jack, so it will rely on Type-C port only.

Coming to the back, we can see triple camera setup aligned vertically, slightly above the center. Above the camera a singe LED flash is present along with another cutout, most probably laser autofocus or maybe another LED flash but looks odd due to render glitch. NFC is present at the left side of camera and below is the Sony branding. At last Xperia branding at bottom. This device also has same design as previously leaked Xperia XZ4, which is supposed to launch at MWC. And if a previous leak is true, than the primary rear camera is a whopping 52MP shooter with f1.6 lens, more than currently highest 48MP sensor. Secondary camera is a 16MP sensor with f2.6 telephoto lens and finally a 0.3MP depth sensor with f1.4 lens.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Personally speaking I am more curious to see how would be the experience of that tall 21:9 ratio display. Also would love to see great performance of that 52MP camera. Because it’s sad to see that Sony can’t utilise the potential of their own camera sensors, from which Google is doing miracles due to their excellent image processing and software support. Hope Sony will also give good image processing and software support to their camera app. What are your thoughts on my thoughts and renders of all three smartphones?
