Redmi television was in the news from the past couple of weeks and as expected today the company has unveiled its first television in China along with the new Redmi Note 8 series. Televisions are not a new thing for Xiaomi but it’s sub-brand Redmi is launching for the first time and it is coming with a massive 70 inch display. The all new Redmi TV sports a 70-inch 4K screen with HDR support. The television features a simple design with bare-minimum bezels. The Redmi TV runs on the company’s PatchWall platform, and powered by a quad-core 64-bit Amlogic SoC at the core, it is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the Redmi TV supports Dolby Audio and DTS HD.
Regarding the connectivity options, the television supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, two USB ports, three HDMI ports, AV input, and more. The company will also be bundling the Bluetooth-powered voice remote with the TV.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, the television is priced at CNY 3,799 and it will available in the market of China from September 3. Right now, there is no information about the availability of television in other markets of the world.
