Redmi has officially introduced the latest Redmi 17 5G in the markets of India. The device comes with a 120Hz refresh rate along with the power of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 mobile processor and a large 7900mAh battery. The device comes with a 50 megapixel primary sensor, and the device runs on the Android 16 operating system out of the box among others.

The new Redmi 17 5G comes with a 6.9-inch LCD with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The device also features a typical brightness of 675 nits and up to 825 nits in high-brightness mode. It also comes with TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free operation, and circadian-friendly viewing.
Redmi has launched the latest Redmi 17 5G with the power of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 mobile processor along with up to up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage that can be expandable by up to 2TB via microSD. The device runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 out of the box.
Speaking about the camera department, the device comes with a 50-megapixel f/1.8 primary camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera, with both supporting 1080p video at 30fps. The device houses a large 7,900mAh battery with 45W turbo charging and up to 22.5W wired reverse charging.
The device also comes with dual stereo speakers with a 300% volume boost, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and an IP64 rating. It also supports Wet Touch technology along with a customizable dynamic RGB light on the rear panel that indicates notifications, charging status, and camera alerts.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the Redmi 17 5G starts at ₹23,999 for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the 8GB RAM variant is priced at ₹26,999. The device will be available in black, blue, and an orange vegan leather finish through Amazon India, Xiaomi’s website, and local retail stores.
