The Chinese electronics company Lenovo has taken wraps off the new generation of ThinkPad laptops in an event held earlier today. These ThinkPad laptops are aimed at professionals and creators who prefer productivity machines. Let us explore these new laptops in detail and find out the detailed specifications and pricing.
ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4
The company presents the ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 as a machine for “digital creatives and prosumers,” meaning it is aimed at professionals who rely on laptops for work. Starting with the display it features a 16-inch display that has a 16:10 aspect ratio and comes with narrow bezels on four sides. The display offers up to 4K resolution and can deliver up to 600 nits of peak brightness. Other features of the display include support for HDR400 and a low blue light filter.

Coming to the processing part, under the hood, it is powered by up to Intel Core i9 H series vPro processor paired with 64GB of RAM that has 3200MHz frequency and up to 2TB of SSD storage which belongs to the PCIe Gen 4 family. The laptop also comes with heavy-duty graphics card units to handle the demanding tasks and these include Iris X integrated graphics from Intel or RTX GeForce 3050Ti, RTX 3060, RTX 3070, and an RTX 3080 mobile GPU from Nvidia.
It is backed by a 90Whr battery and supports Dolby Atmos audio. For the Skype calls or Zoom meetings there is a Full HD infrared Hybrid webcam upfront. It comes with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed.
ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 & ThinkPad L13 Gen 2
The ThinkPad Yoga model as the name suggests is a convertible machine. Both laptops offer a 13.3-inch display with Full HD resolution and the panel support a peak brightness of 300 nits. All Yoga laptops come with a touch-integrated display whereas the ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 laptops offer it as a choice in the upper models.

Both ThinkPad L13 laptops are powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 PRO series processors which belong to the mobile processor category. To perform, graphic-intensive tasks, the company has opted for AMD Radeon GPU. There is support for up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM with 3200MHz frequency and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. Both Lenovo ThinkPad laptops pack a 46Whr battery.
Pricing and Availability
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 comes with a price tag of 2099 Euros (2,500 USD). On the other hand, we have ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 (AMD) which will retail for 749 Euros (894 USD). The third one in the list, ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 (AMD) has an MRP of 649 Euros (775 USD). All models will go on sale in the month of August.
