We all know that Amazon has an upper hand in the media streaming line as the company already have multiple numbers of devices like Fire TV and more. Well, today the company has expanded its media streaming line with the launch of Fire TV Cube.
The all new Fire TV Cube is a gadget which is designed in a cube-shape and its a 4K Ultra-HD media streaming player with the power of the Amazon’s digital assistant Alexa. Moreover, with the Fire TV Cube, the company brings the Echo speaker, and the Fire TV together. The new device allows users to get rid of the remote, as it is powered by the Alexa and that’s why users can able to control the cube from any point of the room with the voice. Which means now you don’t require the remote to turn on or off, to change the volume level, or to change the channel, or to play your favorite show on Netflix, everything can be done via your voice. Cool isn’t???
Having said that, the cube houses IR blasters on all the four sides which allows the box to communicate and control the TV functionalities. And it has a set of eight microphones which allows it to use the far field voice recognition to hear the user’s voice from any point of the room. Apart from the TV functionalities and content, you can also use the new Fire TV Cube (as it is powered by Alexa) to control the smart home accessories.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, the brand new Fire TV Cube will be available in the US only as of now and it will be available for pre-order for $120 (approx. ₹8,110). The company will start shipping the product from June 21 in US, and there is no information about the availability in the Indian market.
