Apple Filed Patent For Detachable Keyboard Key

Apple is one brand which is known for innovations. The brand has done so many things which other brands followed altogether. Just yesterday we heard about a patent for a new hydration measurement feature for Apple Watches. And today we got another patent registered by Apple, this time for Mac ecosystem.

A latest patent is filed at US Patent and Trademark Office, which shows a Mac keyboard with detachable key. This key will work as a touch precision controller, something like a mouse. The technology is named as “Deployable Key Mouse” on the website. It is supposed to be a hidden key which will look like any other key in the Mac keyboard.

But after removing this key, it can be used in several precise works like color correction/grading tasks, designing, editing documents, and more. It can give the ease of using a mouse without actually carrying one. It will have its own battery inside, which might get charged when attached into the keyboard.

Do note that this is not a final product of Apple. The brand has just registered a patent on which they can further do tests. This idea might get rejected and cancelled. What are your thoughts on a removable key working as a mouse? Let us know in the comment section below.
