Apple has launched many software related stuffs at their WWDC 2017 event. But there are some hardware related launches as well, like Apple HomePod. But they have launched another exciting product, & i.e. Apple iPad Pro. It comes in 2 different models, iPad Pro 10.5 and iPad Pro 12.9. So let’s have a detailed look at both tablets.
Both tablets are powered by Apple A10X Fusion processor that has 6 cores for CPU and 12 cored for GPU. Apple claims that the CPU performance will boost upto 30% and GPU performance upto 40%. As I said before there are two display variants, one with 10.5” display and other with 12.9” display. Though we don’t have any information about the screen resolution, but as said by Apple it’s a true tone display with 600 nits brightness level and wide colour gamut. As always Apple didn’t mentioned the RAM capacity. There are three storage options: 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
It has 12MP Rear Camera with OIS, f1.8 lens and a 7MP FaceTime HD front camera. There are 4 speakers on four different directions for stereo audio system. Also the Touch ID (Apple’s fingerprint sensor) is present on this tablet. It comes with iOS 10 out of the box with the iOS 11 update in the coming fall. It has all basic iPad connectivity features like Apple SIM, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and advanced LTE.
Apple also giving two separate accessories that will be compatible with both iPad Pro, Apple Pencil & Smart Keyboard. Apple Pencil is the proprietary Pencil for iPad Pro which will be very handy for tasks like sketches, rough notes and annotations. It is both pressure sensitive as well as tilt sensitive. The Smart Keyboard is an external keyboard for iPads which are very thin but durable, as claimed by Apple. It connects to the iPad without Bluetooth.
The price of this series starts from $649 for iPad 10.5 64GB variant, & goes maximum upto $1099 for iPad 12.9 512GB variant. It will be available in USA from today itself.
