Apple MagSafe Accessories Launched

Apple has launched an array of MagSafe accessories from Chargers to Wallets along with the latest iPhone 12 Series. The company has unveiled a MagSafe charging pad and MagSafe Duo foldable charger for charging both iPhones and Apple Watches.

The iPhone 12 Series comes with magnets on the back that allows the phone to snap on to the wireless charging pads that support the technology. This will improve the wireless charging efficiency and speed of the smartphone. MagSafe chargers are Qi-compatible and can charge the iPhones with a speed of up to 15W. These wireless chargers can also charge other devices that support wireless charging. Along with the MagSafe charger, other companies like Belkin are also designing charging docks and car adapters that are compatible with the technology.

The magnets inside are optimized with a custom nano-crystalline shield and protect the mechanism from the magnetic flux, new NFC, and magnetic field sensor interference. These are the alternatives from Apple for the AirPower charger that promised to charge multiple devices at once. The project was later called off owing to practical risks.

The MagSafe charger from Apple will retail for INR 4500 in India and for $39 in the States, The company will also sell Silicon cases in up to 8 colors with a price tag of INR 4900 a pop. These will be MagSafe compatible. In addition, there are leather cases with a cutout for showing time which will be available from November 6. Finally, we have leather wallets that would snap onto the magnets on the back of the iPhone 12 or onto MagSafe compatible cases. It’s shielded and safe for credit cards as well.
