Along with the ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite, the company has announced yet another smartphone called ASUS ZenFone 5Z at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) event. This device is the company’s flagship smartphone of the year, and because of this, it has some good specifications, let’s have a look at it.
The ASUS ZenFone 5Z sports 6.2-inch Super display with Full HD+ and has 2246 x 1080 pixels resolution, along with 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, and paired with 4/6/8 GB RAM along with Adreno 630 for the graphical task, The device has 64/128/256 GB of internal storage, and if it’s not enough for you, then you expand the storage via microSD card.
It has dual camera setup at back, with the combination of 12 megapixel (RGB) with f/1.8, 1.4um, Sony IMX363, 4-axis OIS, 5x high light sensitivity, 0.03s Dual Pixel PDAF, AI-powered, RAW support + 8 megapixel with 8 MP f/2.0, wide-angle 120-degree FOV, OmniVision OV8856, dual-tone LED flash. The device also has 8 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0, OmniVision OV8856, 83-degree wide-angle FOV. The device also supports artificial intelligence functions such as AI Camera, AI Display, AI Ringtone, AI Boost, AI Charging, AI Photo Learning. The ZeniMoji is a new feature which resembles Apple’s Animoji, but with video calling and live streaming.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G connectivity, X20 LTE gigabit modem, and 2x Nano SIM. It also has USB Type-C port and the latest Bluetooth 5.0, the device also supports fingerprint scanner at the back side. It runs on Android Oreo 8.0 with ZenUI 5 atop, and the device can be upgradable to Android P. The smartphone is backed on 3,300 mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast charging, and AI Charging.
Speaking about the pricing and availability details of the device, the device has the price tag of euros 479 and the device will be available from June 2018.
