The Indian smartphone brand Centric has made its presence at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2019 event in Barcelona, the company has launched its first pop-up front facing camera device which is dubbed as Centric S1, along with a couple of smartphones.
Specifications of Centric S1
The Centric S1 sports a 6.39 inch Full HD+ AMOLED display along with the 19:5:9 aspect ratio and offers 92% screen to body ratio. The device is powered by Octa Core MediaTek Helio P70 processor and paired with 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM, along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. In terms of storage, the device will have 64 GB and 128 GB storage variants.
Moving to the camera department, the Centric S1 rocks dual camera set up at back and that is in the combination of 16 megapixel + 5 megapixel with LED flash, along with an 8 megapixel front facing camera and that will pop-up from the top of the display. The Centric S1 also supports face unlock and an in display fingerprint scanner for the maximum layer of security.
The Centric S1 runs on the latest version of Android i.e. Android 9 Pie out of the box and it ships on a 3,080 mAh battery that supports fast charging through Pump Charge 3.0 as well as supports wireless charging functionality. According to the Centric, the Centric S1 can be charged up to 50% in just 20 minutes.
Pricing and availability of Centric S1
The 4 GB variant of the Centric S1 is priced at $310 while the pricing of 6 GB RAM variant is yet to be announced. The device will go on sale from June 2019.

The device is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor, that is paired 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The smartphone rocks a dual rear camera setup and that’s in the combination of a 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensor combination, along with an 8-megapixel front camera. The device features the fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 9 and ships on a 3,400 mAh battery. Speaking about the pricing and availability, it is priced at $140 (approx. ₹9,900), and it will be available in June.
Next up, the Centric G5 features a 6.21-inch HD display along with a 19:9 and waterdrop-like notch. It is powered by powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor and matted with 3 GB RAM along with 32 GB internal storage. The device has a dual rear camera setup and that’s in the combination of 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel camera with an autofocus lens, and has an 8-megapixel front camera. it comes with a facial recognition-supported “Face ID” feature, along with the fingerprint scanner. The smartphone runs on Android Pie and backed on 4,050 mAh battery. Talking about the pricing and availability, it is priced at $160 (approx. ₹11,400), and it will be available in June.
Lastly, the Centric G3 sports a 6.23-inch full-HD+ display that has a 20:9 aspect ratio, along with a notch atop. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor, paired with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB onboard storage. It has a dual rear camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors and an 8-megapixel front camera. The device runs on Android Pie and packs a 3,080 mAh battery. The device is priced at $250 (approx. ₹17,700), and it will be available in June.
