The Chrome OS which powers the Chromebooks of Google, may gain the support for the eSIM and Project Fi. We got the information from a recent code-review on the Chromium Gerrit.
Thanks to the guys at the XDA Developers, as they spotted things first and the code-review says that a project codenamed “Hermes” will do the job of a middle-man for the devices with the eSIM chips and carrier servers. Moreover, the Hermes will also offer a “seamless integration with Project Fi and an easily portable API” which can be used on different Chromebooks.
So, that’s all the information we have at this moment, we hope that we will able to hear more about the same in coming days.
